"Hole" Is Just A Word

Some Somerset owners have been unpleasantly surprised upon realizing the scope of the recent plumbing work performed in their unit. The quick "One Day Two Unit" scheduling may have created the impression that the work is somehow minimal. However - replacing ALL of the plumbing is not trivial - and there is considerable cosmetic work to be done in each unit once the repair is finished (Less in the upper units, more in downstairs units).

Below is a video walk through of a completely typical unit, half way thru the repair.

The main thing we wish to alert owners to is that once the repair is "finished", the walls and ceilings will need to be textured and painted.

Food For Thought:

Lower Units have a much more extensive cosmetic repair job to be done. Upper units, much less.
Patches can be nearly invisible if textured to match the surrounding finish
If paint is a custom color, or more than six months old, spot painting the patches can make them MORE visible; better to paint the entire wall.
if painting all the walls, consider changing the color to that one you always wanted.
Consider painting the TRIM and DOORS with a super-high Gloss contrasting color like bright white. Really makes it POP; a noticeable difference. Easier to clean, resists scuffing/dust/etc.
